Pharmacy Automation Giant Baxa to Fund ASHP Midday Symposium

Baxa has declared that it will fund a Midday Symposia presentation titled, “The Power of Control: Using pharmacy software tools to get control of your workflow, ensure quality control and support patient safety initiatives,” at the 45th American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting, which will be held at the Platinum Ballroom 7, Anaheim Marriott Hotel, California, on December 7.

This two-hour symposium will be participated by a group of health-system experts showcasing the enhancement of patient care, drive competency and quality assurance by pharmacy operations management. This discussion will be mediated by Rich Paoletti, VP of Operations, Lancaster General Hospital, and will also investigate the benefits of managing the IV and oral dose preparation. The other professionals in the panel include Jack Bond, Director of Pharmacy and Director of Respiratory Therapy, Wesley Medical Center, Jennifer Austin, Director of Pharmacy, St. Joseph Hospital, Florida and Pranish Kantesaria, Director of Pharmacy, Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Additionally, the company will display its complete range of medical equipment, supplying around 164 million secure doses every year. Also the attendees of the event can experience the expertise of Baxa in developing innovative pharmacy automation systems for secure and reliable management of fluid medications.
