L-Tron, global provider of industrial automation solutions, has released a new range of Modbus gateways. These bi-directional gateways are developed for incorporating recent and existing Modbus/ASCII and Modbus/RTU serial devices to the latest TCP/IP network-based systems.
Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group, partner of L-Tron, has developed low-cost EKI-1200 series, ideal for automation industries requiring data accessibility and remote handling tasks for devices that cannot be linked to a network.
The EKI-1200 family enables interaction between automation devices for several applications including device programming, data transfer and monitoring. The EKI-1221, 1222, and 1224 gateways can be availed for one, two, or four serial ports respectively and each port can be included with 31 slaves. In addition, these gateways can concurrently support 32 requests and 16 connections.
The EKI-1200 gateway series includes MAC addresses and two individual Ethernet ports. The Ethernet networking is highly consistent and the device connections are simple, serving as ideal solutions for the manufacturing segment.
