Automation Solutions Giant, ACI Targets Process Carriers Market

ACI ecoTec (ACI), subsidiary of Day4 Energy and a pioneer in supplying automation equipment for photovoltaic (PV) industries, is all set to supply approximately 5,000 ecoCarrier systems in this year. By this accomplishment, ACI will widen its market share, accounting for 50% of the anticipated global process carriers market. The company showcased 30% of increased supply in 2009.

The ecoCarrier was developed in Germany and is ideal for manufacturing processes as well as shipping and storing photovoltaic cells and wafers in wet-chemical batch processing. The system offers an exceptional constancy without any dead-spots. Each carrier carries 50 to 100 wafers of sizes ranging between 125 and 156 mm for accurate processing outcomes.

The ACI ecoCarrier is developed from materials of superior quality, which are coated to protect the system from external conditions and sudden temperature fluctuations. It also features outstanding drying ability to avoid cross contagion between several processes. The stable notched frame and high position correctness support PV cell manufacturing process in accurate loading and unloading of wafers automatically.

Marc Rogovin, Vice President, CPO, SUNIVA, has stated that the ACI ecoCarrier displays superior performance and offers a significant value addition in their process flow. He added that the novel design and constituents of the system brings down breakage, enhances cell production and reduces lead times.

According to George Rubin, President of Day4 Energy, their company is determined to combine their superior technologies and methods in the progression of the solar PV segment.
