RxSafe Automation System for Giant Eagle

According to Randy Heiser, Vice President of Pharmacy for Giant Eagle, RxSafe is a major competitor in the area of automation technology with maximum proficiency. He also expressed satisfaction over their preliminary one store pilot.

RxSafe system offers complete automation solution for prescription medication in indigenous casing. The major features of this automated system include helping the pharmacists in exact packing and tracing prescriptions, effective handling of inventory, streamlining the workflow of pharmacies, easy retrieval of medications, effective utilization of minimum space in the pharmacy, eliminating pilfering of medications and averting out-of-date drugs . RxSafe can be easily modified as per the requirements. It can hold and automate up to 5,400 native prescription containers with a space requirement of 40 sq ft. Its highest ability in multi-operator mode is 500 scripts per hour.
