Iriver, KT to Launch Olleh Robot in 2011

Iriver and KT will jointly introduce a new robot in March 2011. The Olleh Robot displays various multimedia contents, and is suitable for infants in the age group of two to eight years.

The media robot is designed based on the concepts of mobility and SoIP (Service over Internet Protocol). It is useful for parents who go for work leaving their children at home. The robot allows the parents to watch their children while they are at work. The eyes of the robot include a built-in chip that reads a fairy tale book or card positioned before the chip using the TTS (test-to-speech) feature.

According to an Iriver executive, the development process of robot is nearly over with a final test that is yet to be done.
