RedSky Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of software solutions for E9-1-1 and emergency response, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) has issued U.S. Patent No. 9,094,816 which expands on RedSky's innovative Emergency Location Information Service (E-LIS) product patents.
The patent describes how emergency messages and data from Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAV) can be retrieved and translated into usable civic and geo-coordinate data and transmitted over legacy and Next Generation, IP-based, 9-1-1 networks to provide situational awareness to emergency responders. The patent builds on RedSky's foundational E-LIS patents that encompass the architecture, process and system elements for receiving, storing and delivering the location data of any device on any network when the device dials or texts an emergency string like 9-1-1.
