Health Robotics to Install i.v.STATION Robots at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles

Health Robotics has declared that it has signed a contract with Children's Hospital of Los Angeles to install two i.v.STATION robots at the hospital.

This is the first 2011 contract for Health Robotics for the supply of i.v.STATION. Children's Hospital is the third hospital in California to install the i.v.STATION and this contract also depicts the third i.v.STATION for pediatrics sold in the USA.

The installation is expected to occur during the first quarter of this year. These stations will primarily focus on controlled substances and antibiotics, and in combination with the company’s i.v.SOFT Assist Workflow Engine for Chemotherapy.

Gaspar DeViedma, Executive Vice President of Health Robotics, has stated that the superior quality and expertise of Children's Hospital of Los Angeles upholds significant importance for their company and its sustained worldwide supremacy of the IV Automation segment. He mentioned that Children's Hospital of Los Angeles analyzed and evaluated the excellent R.O.I. throughput and high-end features of i.v.STATION by visiting Cottage Health System and a pediatric center for evaluating i.v.STATION and RIVA system respectively. He added that they are so proud of McKesson and HRCI, their American collaborators for their sustained support.

Several features of i.v.STATION include cost-efficiency, plug-and-play type, adaptability for several sizes and brands of syringes and bags, ISO-5 controlled environment and high automated throughput. These superior features have already pioneered North America’s Non-Hazardous Sterile Compounding segment.
