Commell Launches LS-377 Single-Board Computer for Automation Applications

Commell has released LS-377 single-board computer (SBC), ideal for several embedded applications such as industrial automation, control, test and medical computing.

The mini-board of LS-377 is developed based on an Intel QM57 chipset. It provides an option of including Intel Core i7, i5, and i3 Mobile processors in rPGA988A packages.

All models of the dual-core, 64-bit processors include graphics core and memory controller on the processor. This provides a two-chip system layout requiring minimum power in contrast to the earlier platforms featuring three chips.

The memory of the 3.5-in LS-377 SBC is 4 Gbytes. VGA, DVI, and LVDS interact with a Realtek ALC888 high-definition audio codec to offer superior-quality audio and video. Mass storage is included through two SATA II 300-Mbyte/s interfaces by means of RAID 0 and RAID 1.

LS-377 derives power from an external 9-V to 24-V DC source. It also offers sophisticated onboard I/O interfaces such as six USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 port, one RS-232/422/485 port, PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports. Add-on cards can be included by means of Mini-PCI and Mini-PCIe extended interface sockets. The mini-board also features a 256-level watchdog timer and a 8-bit GPIO interface that can be programmed.
