PCS Edventures, leader in the Educational Sector in terms of designing and delivering educational products and services pertaining to Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics using robotics technology, has declared that it has received an order worth $40,000 from five schools in Egypt for implementing robotics and youth programs.
These programs will be included during September 2011 academic year. The five schools will take part in a pilot program, which will commence during the academic year in five Egyptian governorates. Robotics and early childhood programs will be part of the nursery and 6th Grade syllabi.
Robert Grover, President, COO and CTO of PCS Edventures, has stated that the pilot project enables them to demonstrate new educational methods that accurately meet their philosophy. He added that it serves as a good opportunity to publicize their programs in several sites all over Egypt.
The procurement order includes ThinkBug Kindergarten solution of PCS for improving mathematics and language abilities of Kindergarten children. Several robotics academic materials like PCS Robotics Educator Pack will also be included in the program. PCS Robotics Educator Pack features PCS Brain, a PCS robotic controller and PCS Cortex. PCS Cortex is designed exclusively for developing programming abilities in K-12 students.
Global Techniques, Egyptian distributor and proprietor for PCS, will provide the support package, offering exclusive coaching and robotics materials.
Sponsorship for the pilot school program is offered by a special fund formed in 2004 with a view to develop new educational models for academic centers like schools, Universities and other technical centers.
According to Dr. Mohammed Yasser Refai, President of Global Techniques, the educational programs of PCS are publicized by several methods in Egypt. He added that their contribution to the pilot school program held last fall and winter enabled them to widen their presence and obtain this significant order.
