iRobot has released a new robot termed as Cityba for providing effective city surveillance. The company has recently demonstrated their robot in the East End of London.
The robot will be directly procured by the local government organizations and iRobot has received order for 200 units from the City of Birmingham for conducting a big-level trial.
The Cityba robot can identify and seize smuggled goods and drugs. It can also wipe out graffiti and grab petty offenders. It can withstand tough environments and can affix to any surface even in an upturned manner.
The robot is developed from a tough and adaptable material termed as Metali. It includes a fire gun to face any sudden assault. It features GPS and photo-sharing options for arresting criminals. It has an unrestricted storage capacity and can even teleport seized objects.
It also includes three-dimensional recording ability and can function in a quiet mode to help being unnoticed, thereby serving as an innovative surveillance system. The robot can be deployed for cleaning streets as well.
