EControls Procures Two Supra E Automated Optical Inspection Solutions

Machine Vision Products (MVP) announced that EControls, a provider of instrumentation solutions, has procured two Supra E automated optical inspection (AOI) solutions.

The procurement was facilitated by MVP’s sales partner, Torenko & Associates in December 2010.

Supra E AOI System

The AOI solutions will function in EControls’ San Antonio plant from February 2011. EControls procured the systems to reduce  program maintenance, swifter line speeds, and to obtain enhanced first pass yields. The company’s present AOI software dos not feature true linking potentials and its optical character verification is restricted to three-part markings.

The latest Supra E AOI system offers comprehensive inspection potentials, from two-dimensional  paste inspection to post-wave inspection. The system offers real-time feedback of manufacturing process details. The crux of the inspection system is metrology, which facilitates  measurement-based data reporting capabilities.

The Supra E inspection system offers swift cycle times by utilizing an image processing capability and a unique flying technology. MVP, in addition,  provides a comprehensive program generation capability in a very less time. These programs are deployed directly into production without losing solder joint inspections.
