Patriot Missiles Successfully Engage Inbound and Outbound Unmanned Air Breathing Targets

Raytheon Company's Patriot Air and Missile Defense System test fired nine Patriot missiles at McGregor Range, N.M., during its annual Field Surveillance Program (FSP), successfully engaging inbound and outbound unmanned air breathing targets. This was the first FSP conducted with the PAC-2 missiles, using the recently launched Post Deployment Build-7 (PDB-7) software and the modernized radar with radar digital processor.

The works of art by acclaimed Israeli industrial designer and artist Yaron Elyasi can now be produced by a KUKA robot: what was once a one-off creation now forms the basis for industrially manufactured designer objects. For Elyasi, it’s a dream come true: “Robot-based automation enables the consistent production of multiple units, whereas manual methods previously only allowed individual items to be made.”
