Suntuity Announces Sponsorship of IDRLC’s Largest Spec Wing Drone Racing Series

The Suntuity Group of companies announced today its sponsorship of the IDRLC's (https://IDRLC.com) largest spec wing drone racing series in the nation. Suntuity's Airworks division (https://suntuityairworks.com) will cohost several IDRLC's events across the US in 2019. Suntuity AirWorks provides drone financing and services through its nationwide network of operators and dealers and is on the forefront of drone and UAV technologies.

International Drone Racing Limited (IDRLC), is a drone racing championship organization dedicated to bringing exceptional drone pilots together and encouraging their talent.

The IDRLC held its first major spec wing racing event on the Atlantic City North Beach over Father's Day weekend to a resounding success. The race drew in dozens of drone racers from the US, Korea, Italy, Australia and several other countries, and was streamed live over the internet. The race also included one of the largest prize pools for a race of its kind.

The first place winner was Creighton "CR810" Perry, and rest of the top ten winners were as follows:

We are thrilled about the success of the beach event and thankful for our sponsorship with Suntuity. The event's location in Atlantic City brought about its own set of challenges, which further highlighted the exemplary skills that the IDRLC pilots had to have in order to navigate the courses. This is something that was showcased by its top winners."

Richard Rodriguez, Race Director for the IDLRC

IDRLC's upcoming Open Class and Brushed Micro Drone Racing events will both be held at the Atlantic Convention Center's 300,000 square foot indoor racing course from June 27th-June 30th, over the same weekend as the Vans Warped Tour located just a few minutes away on the beachfront. The event is being organized with one of the largest indoor racing courses and prize pools in US history -- and the first of its kind in Atlantic City. Spectators who attend the event to watch the races will also be able to fly micro drones with the assistance of professional racers. Tickets to the event are $20 per day or $15 per day for multiple days, which can be purchased at the door or through Ticketmaster. Vans Warped Tour attendees are encouraged to participate in drone racing in between sets of their favorite musical acts.

Stay tuned for another media announcement that will include more in-depth detail about the upcoming races. Drone enthusiasts are further encouraged to participate in IDRLC events by becoming IDRLC member. All AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) members will receive a discount on their IDRLC membership by providing IDRLC with proof of AMA membership.
