The classes are to be conducted at the Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) located in Appleton, Wisconsin. ABB endeavors to increase the number of certified training facilities in North America to educate workers and students in robotic automation and its role in advanced manufacturing.
ABB is training FVTC instructors at its Auburn Hills facility and FVTC is offering a two -year associate degree course in Automated Manufacturing & Robotics. ABB had earlier installed seven of its robots and associated software and controllers at the FVTC robotic training facility in 2010, which enhanced the college’s technical robotics training capabilities.
The current open enrollment classes include Basic and Advanced Programming, Operator, Electrical Service, Mechanical Maintenance and Robot Studio 5 classes. They are to commence from March 21 and end by October 14. ABB has announced that the registrations are now open. More information about the registration is available in their homepage www.abb.com/abbuniversity and students interested in registration can access it.
