New Microplate Labeler Launched by Hudson Robotics

Hudson Robotics has introduced a new Microplate Labeler. The PA 1000 automated Print & Apply labeler is designed for the laboratory. It offers flexible bar code printing and good data management capabilities.

The labeler has great scalability from individual manual plate loading to fully-automated robotic plate handling. The workcell comprises of a 600 dpi Printer- Applicator and a Hudson PlateCrane microplate handling robot. It can be easily installed onto a standard laboratory bench.

It has a software that gives a graphical user interface for easy processing of operations of all its components based on Hudson’s SoftLinx automation software. An easy WYSIWYG interface allows the user to interface with label design easily.

It had a typical throughput of 100 plates per hour for a single label. It could handle microplates with SBS standard footprint and had a walk away automation of printing and applying for up to 420 microplates. It was compatible with standard and deep well microplates and with a wide variety of label types and sizes.
