Omron Scientific Technologies releases the Energy Isolation Procedure (EIP) module for the G9SP configurable safety controllers. The EIP module allows the communication of programmable devices, designed in accordance with ODVA guidelines for EtherNet/IP, with G9SP controllers.
G9SP configurable safety controllers are ideal control solutions that can be utilized in various applications such as printing, injection molding, automotive component, food and beverage, and packaging. It renders excellent monitoring capabilities through serial connection or Ethernet and clear diagnostics. It can also be directly connected with safety mats, non-contact switches, safety laser scanners, and safety light curtains.
These stand-alone controllers can be rapidly programmed to meet the complex safety control requirements of mid-sized and small machines. It can also be reconfigured easily to provide a solution to meet immediate machine setup requirements.
Users can easily and quickly check the G9SP safety controller’s operation and transmit non-safety data to that controller. This valuable data can be assessed or mixed with data from manufacturing process, to help users meet their productivity goals more efficiently. These controllers can also connect easily to an Omron PLC.
