Aldo Zini, the President of Aethon, will be delivering the keynote address at the RoboBusiness Leadership Summit for 2011 to be held in Boston on 3 November. His presentation is titled ‘Making Mobile Robotics a Relevant Solution in the Business World’ and will focus on the effectiveness of autonomous mobile robots in the business world.

The summit is a conference in which leaders in the robotic industry participate and robotic trends are showcased.
Zini explained that autonomous robots were capable of adding value to the business community when launched as a complete product solution. He added that Aethon has been successful in addressing the challenges in the healthcare industry by providing reliable and comprehensive autonomous mobile robotic solutions. Zini is of the opinion that companies that are involved in developing robotic products must concentrate on providing comprehensive product solutions in order for autonomous robots to gain wide acceptance among customers. He will be educating the gathering at the conference by sharing Aethon’s experience in developing the TUG robot, its product extensions and interfaces. There are more than 400 TUG robots that are being used in a number of hospitals across US for applications such as transporting medication, supplies, meals, equipment and linen from and to nursing units. TUG robots have a prominent role to play in improving the workflow of healthcare centers. The robots can be tailor-made as per the needs of individual hospitals and can be seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure of the hospitals.
