HollySys Automation Technologies, a provider of automation and control solutions in China, revealed that it has won the contract for supplying Main Control System (MCS) for MTR based at Hong Kong.
According to the terms of the contract HollySys will be supplying the Main Control System for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL) which is worth 65 million HK.
The MCS solution provided by HollySys will be a turn-key solution for the rail link automation, which is based on the SCADA software platform. The automation solution will be designed, manufactured and set up based on the SCADA software. The contract terms involve HollySys for the performance demonstration and also the maintenance of the rail link that connects the West Kowloon terminal and Mai Po terminal. The rail link spans 26 km in length and runs across Mainland China. MCS is essentially an automation system, which takes care of the supervision and control of the urban rail link. By automating the rail link, it is possible to ensure unified management and control of the individual sub-systems that work on different technologies. The CEO of HollySys pointed out the track record that they have set for themselves in the automation of rail and other industrial segments.
