Red Lion Adds Two Panel Models to its G3 Kadet Series

Red Lion Controls has recently declared the addition of two new products to its G3 Kadet series of operator interface panels, thereby complementing the company’s large portfolio of industrial automation solutions.

The newly added G304K2 and G307K2 panels feature high-resolution, wide-format screens that deliver complete Human Machine Interface (HMI) functionality for motor drives, PLCs, and other communications-capable devices that promote enhanced visibility, management and control, giving rise to increased productivity in industries.

Providing dynamic multi-protocol conversion facilities analogous to that of earlier generations, the new G3 Kadet models ensure improved functionality for machine builders as well as end users as described below:

  • 4" G304K2 features an Ethernet port (10 base-T/100 base-TX), enabling up to four Ethernet protocols from a series including more than 70 supported protocols. Selected from a list of 150 protocols, two serial protocols can be implemented for the unit's RS232 and RS485 ports, thereby facilitating simultaneous communication with a wide range of disparate devices.
  • 7" G307K2 features WVGA wide screen with 800x480 resolution for organizations demanding larger display. The high-definition display supports 32K colors delivering enhanced clarity for detailed user interfaces. The panel can be used for three serial protocols and four Ethernet, at the same time.

Both models surpass at protocol conversion, supporting efficient integration within disparate equipment. By integrating devices from varied producers, machine builders can acquire the most cost-effective PLCs, motion controllers, and drives. In addition to optimizing the components for specific use, end users can even adopt the Ethernet port for upgrading the current serial-based control systems.

Red Lion's Crimson 3.0 software is available standard with both models for simple and effective deployment and programming.
