Robot-Assisted Hysterectomy and Partial Nephrectomy on ORLive

ORLive, BroadcastMed’s premier surgical broadcasting website, is highlighting two upcoming robotic surgery events from Shawnee Mission Medical Center - a leader in robotic surgery.

The two programs will give viewers an in-depth look at the advantages of robotic surgery from the experts at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, having performed more than 1500 procedures.

On October 10th, watch a Robot-Assisted Hysterectomy performed by gynecological surgeon Dr. Cranston Cederlind. The patient benefits of this minimally invasive procedure are smaller incisions and less tissue damage when compared to open surgery. Viewers will also hear from patients who will share their experience with robotic surgery. Then, on October 17th, learn how advancements in robotic surgery are helping patients with kidney tumors with an up-close look at how surgeons are using Firefly fluorescence imaging to help isolate tumors during surgery. Urological Surgeon Dr. David Emmott will perform the procedure.
