During final presentations in Experimental Robotics, Computer Science 225A, Stanford students geared up to demonstrate their own robots on wearing their black T-shirt uniforms. The students assembled in three or four teams and demonstrated the inspirational capabilities of robots such as landing a toy helicopter, playing games, or creating arts.

Adept Technology declared that it will demonstrate the efficiency of the Adept Quattro s650H robot during the ProPak China 2012 event scheduled from July 18-20, 2012 in Shanghai, China. Higher productivity and food safety can be obtained by incorporating the Adept Quattro s650H robot in automated, high-speed packaging applications.

SCHUNK has further expanded its modular system of grippers with the addition of a new integrated distance and presence sensor for SCHUNK’s MPG-plus gripper for small components, and the PGN-plus universal gripper.
In the last few years, Navy scientists, along with research institutions around the world, have been engineering resilient robots for minesweeping and other risky underwater missions. The ultimate goal is to design completely autonomous robots that can navigate and map cloudy underwater environments— without any prior knowledge of those environments — and detect mines as small as an iPod.
At HCA Reston Hospital Center in Mid-Atlantic Region, the first robot-guided spine surgery procedure was successfully performed by spinal experts at the Virginia Spine Institute, Dr. Thomas C. Schuler and Dr. Christopher R. Good.

SES has recently signed an agreement with Northrop Grumman for providing satellite capacity and services for the NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) system. AGS will work under NATO command and will be a key data source for NATO's system for Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JISR).
