Nichols expressed his happiness over including an international team as a participant in the robotic contest. He added that this competition enabled the student teams to enhance their skill-set and comradeship before the commencement of the FIRST robotic contest which will be held in January.

During the competition, the high-school teams of 2011 matched with the 2010 robots from the FIRST Robotics. Various models of GM and Ford vehicles were also displayed during the event.
