Kettering Kickoff Robotics contest 2010, a famous robotic competition founded by Bob Nichols, was hosted by Kettering University in Flint, Michigan on September 18. It was reported that among the 39 teams, 38 teams were from Michigan including the FIRST Robotics team and the remaining one team was from Israel.
Nichols expressed his happiness over including an international team as a participant in the robotic contest. He added that this competition enabled the student teams to enhance their skill-set and comradeship before the commencement of the FIRST robotic contest which will be held in January.
During the competition, the high-school teams of 2011 matched with the 2010 robots from the FIRST Robotics. Various models of GM and Ford vehicles were also displayed during the event.
