FIRST Robotics District Competition to be Held at Kettering University

The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics District competition to be held in Kettering’s Recreation Center, Flint from March 4 to 5 2011 will be an open event.

Kettering University’s FIRST Robotics District competition will have 40 high school teams participating in it.

The annual robotics district competition will happen from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 4, 2011 and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 5, 2011.At this year’s competition, teams will play a game called Logo Motion with their robots. This game involves the robots to carry colorful triangles, circles and square tubes to form the FIRST logo.

Pat Major of Goodrich heads the FIRST organizing committee. During the competition, a display of vehicles from General Motors and Ford will be showcased.
