Smart Cameras Simplify Installation of Machine-Vision Applications

Microscan has introduced a range of products that simplify the installation of machine-vision applications. The Autovision range of products also offer a toolset that delivers reliable identification and inspection. The products comprise the Vision Mini and Vision Hawk smart cameras, in addition to the AutoVision software interface.

Autovision Software

The company mentions that the Autovision software reduces the learning curve that is linked to the machine-vision software. Users make use of real-time feedback during device configuration and programming to execute vision applications. The Autovision software comes with both the Vision Mini and Vision Hawk hardware platforms.

The Vision Mini and Vision Hawk cameras incorporate lighting, optics, and a processor to facilitate convenient integration into the manufacturing process. The cameras can be operated by utilizing the Visionscape platform or the Autovision interface.

The Vision Mini camera comes in a 1.80x2.10x1.00inch package and allows versatile positioning in space-constrained locations. The camera’s wide-angle lens and autofocus suit close-range vision assignments such as part location, data matrix reading, color reading, and component identification. The Vision Hawk camera has an autofocus liquid lens and aids an array of inspection application such as symbol decoding, part identification, and assembly verification.
