Server Technology Launches Latest SPM Remote Monitoring Solution

Server Technology has released Sentry Power Manager (SPM) 4.3.2, the latest version of SPM.

Brandon Ewing, President of Server Technology, expressed his excitement about the unrelenting enhancements made within their CDU solutions, efficiency of SPM and their measurement and power monitoring systems supporting their products. He added that SPM 4.3.2 includes PIPS support, offering a new range of accurate data at the input level. This enables data center experts to handle their mission crucial applications in a cost-effective way.

The developers have proved that inlet level determination is more precise than Remote Power Panel level measurement. The latest SPM version is downloadable, and it also acts as a built-in FTP server for automatic CDU firmware upgrades. The firmware version on the CDU will be compared by each CDU against the firmware version recorded in the ftp server situated within SPM and the CDUs firmware is updated correspondingly.

Ewing has mentioned that the expansion of Sentry Power Manager Solution is enabled by means of their client-driven innovation and sophisticated engineering methods. He added that when linked with their cabinet power delivery units, SPM is the most extensive and cost-effective solution to determine and monitor power and environmental data in the data center.

SPM 4.3.2 can comply with bulkier devices and new schedules for several operations including database maintenance, backups, outlet control, device discovery and options for daily, weekly or monthly reports. SPM enables third-party power distribution units (PDUs) such as APC, Geist and Raritan. It also supports enhanced logging and Environmental Monitoring Control Unit (EMCU) for monitoring increased temperature, dry contact and humidity.
