Machine Vision Solutions Provider’s Business Unit to be Sold to ON Semiconductor

ON Semiconductor has announced the acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor’s CMOS Image Sensor Business Unit.

The size of the deal is about $31.4 million and the entire transaction is likely to be complete by the end of the first quarter of this year.

Cypress Semiconductor’s products are deployed in several applications including machine vision, medical x-ray imaging, aerospace, multi-megapixel digital photography and biometrics.
