Lockheed Martin’s Linked Solution Enables UAV Operators to Focus on Identified Threats

A wireless ground sensor network developed by Lockheed Martin will soon have the option of being fully integrated with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Lockheed Martin’s Self-Powered Ad-hoc Network (SPAN), a wireless ground sensor system will be able to connect with unmanned vehicles to provide ubiquitous coverage and persistent surveillance of designated areas.

RWDC Announces ‘Unmanned Aircraft System Challenge: Precision Agriculture’

PTC recently joined more than 45 partners to kick-off the 2013-2014 Real World Design Challenge. The theme of this year’s challenge, “Unmanned Aircraft System Challenge: Precision Agriculture,” was announced in Washington, DC. A $50,000 scholarship from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will be provided to each student on the national winning team.
