Energid to Develop Lightweight Robot Arm for AFF Robots Onboard the ISS

Energid Technologies Corporation has been funded by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to develop an innovative lightweight robot arm for use with Assistive Free-Flyers (AFF), small robotic research platforms that fly in microgravity, onboard the International Space Station (ISS). The project includes arm design, control algorithm development, and creation of simulation tools.

ABB to Supply Nine Power Transformers to Statnett for Norwegian Transmission System

ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has won an order worth around $30 million from Norwegian transmission system operator Statnett SF to supply power transformers that will help to significantly increase the capacity of the country’s central power grid, bolstering its energy security and ability to transmit more renewable energy. The order was booked in the second quarter of 2015.
